Canyon Shuttle Your choice: Group all the way, vehicle, or a combination. See the Canyon Shuttle section for complete details. We will be happy to help you figure out the best shuttle for your group. Personalized Trip Service In the weeks prior to your launch, Canyon REO's office staff will provide you with the equipment details necessary for completion of the NPS application. We will send you the Trip Leader's Orientation Booklet which is designed for the purpose of alleviating the Trip Leader's stress. This booklet will answer most, if not all, of the questions that your group will ask you. Our office staff and riggers will be available to answer your questions about local accommodations, shuttle logistics, toilet use, equipment rigging, etc. Orientation and Rigging Service Canyon REO gives orientations on the equipment, systems, food, and anything else you might want to know. We take you to Lee's Ferry (or meet you there if that is your preference) and help your group assemble and rig the rafts. Each captain should be the primary rigger for their assigned boat, familiarizing himself/herself with our systems while our riggers are there to assist. One of our riggers will spend the night, fix breakfast the next morning, see you through the ranger's inspection, and wave you off when you launch. Delivery and Pick Up Service We deliver your gear and food to Lee's Ferry, regardless of your shuttle choice. We also pick up all gear, containers, toilets and trash at Take-Out, regardless of your shuttle choice. Items NOT included in the Grand Canyon Deluxe Personal gear: Clothes, toiletries, sleeping bag, pad, tent, cot, chair, carabiners, rescue ropes. The Trip Leader's Orientation Booklet includes a suggested packing list. Alcohol and soda: Beer, soda and alcoholic beverages are not included in our packages; however we will special order beer, alcohol and sodas based on your order, charging you the direct cost plus a shopping fee. NPS and Hualapai Fees: For your information, the NPS requires you to pay the NPS fee to them at least 90 days prior to your Put-In. The NPS also prohibits any increase in the number of participants (including transfers) after this 90 day deadline. If you prefer, we can invoice you for the Hualapai fees. The Hualapai will, in turn, invoice Canyon REO. Pharmaceuticals and reusable items in the major first aid: A list of items in the Major First Aid is included in the Trip Leaders Orientation booklet. Dinner the night before Put-In: We transport your group from Lee's Ferry to Marble Canyon Lodge or Vermillion Cliffs Restaurant, but each person pays for their own dinner. Vehicle Storage Fees: If your vehicle and/or trailer needs to be stored in Flagstaff there will be a small cost per day. Extra Costs: There may be extra costs for extra services. For example: If Diamond Creek Road washes out and we have to run extra shuttles, there will be additional charges. There may also be extra charges for out-of-the-ordinary vehicle shuttles. Our entire group thought you folks did a great job. Everyone we talked to either in person or on the phone was very friendly and happily answered any questions we might have had. We all recommend your company to anyone we know who is going down the Grand. If any of us are lucky enough to get to do this awesome river again, we will surely be happy to use your services. -- Karen Bagh, Spring 2000 trip Thanks so much for the great support, effort, professionalism and service for our trip down the Canyon. REO was superb and helped make a good trip great. We very much appreciate the extra effort and will pass on the good word. -- Boots Ferguson, 1999 trip
