Canyon Gear for Rent Canyon REO offers a superior line of equipment for rent. Most groups are able to pick up and return their rentals to REO in Flagstaff. However, if this is a problem for your group, REO can deliver our equipment to Lee's Ferry and pick it up at your Take-Out for an additional fee. Canyon Frames Our Grand Canyon diamond plate main frames with adjustable compartments make rigging easy and flexible, allowing the most carrying capacity possible. Our trailer frames, when added to the main frame, allow extra space for carrying boxes and gear. Our customized floors/decks also increase carrying capacity. Lifejackets Extrasport Hi-Float lifejackets in a variety of sizes (S-XL). Dry Bags The BIG ones - NRS or Jack's Plastic 3.8 cubic foot bags that are more than twice the capacity of the small black bags. Toilets, D-cans, Groovers Whatever you choose to call 'em, we've got 'em. We offer two different toilet systems -- both approved by the National Park Service. You can choose from either our original system or the Jon-ny Partner toilet system. Field testing has proven that our toilets hold 60-70 uses each, so we recommend 5 boxes for a 16 person, 18 day trip. Our original system uses 25-mil rocket boxes. These boxes are waterproof and have a large enough opening to accommodate a standard toilet seat. These boxes provide a steady perch with less opportunity for tipping than 20-mils! The aluminum Jon-ny Partner toilets are simple to set-up and easy to transport. When attached properly, the rubber sealing gasket lid and collar clamp eliminate spillage even when turned upside down. With either style, you get: o 25-mil toilet supply box with 1 toilet seat. o Liquizyme - an antibacterial agent that breaks down feces and controls methane gas (liquizyme is already in the boxes when we turn them over to you) You provide or rent from us: o Toilet paper: for a 16-person, 18-day trip allow about 28 rolls (more women, more T.P.!) o Clorox 2: 2-quart Nalgene bottle o Rubber gloves: 3 or 4 pairs o Knock-out (optional): a powerful deodorant made of natural enzymes and oils that smells like bubble gum - can be purchased from REO Motor Rental & Delivery To Diamond Creek If you're going all the way to Pierce Ferry, our motor rental & delivery service can help you finish your trip in a leisurely fashion. Motoring through the last 60 or so miles of no current allows you to check out the side canyons and Travertine Falls without the cost of a high speed tow out. With a REO motor, you can set your own time table - the headwinds won't affect you, so sit back and enjoy the ride! On the day you will be passing Diamond Creek at mile 225, Canyon REO will meet you with one of our 20 or 25hp, 4-stroke motors and a transom for one of your rafts. Our rigger will help you hook it up and show you how the motor works, then you are on your own. Most groups prefer to row through some of the moving current, to approximately Spencer Canyon at mile 246. We recommend that you row rather than motor to catch the eddy for Travertine Falls.
